Folk Viola Duets
I have published three collections of traditional folk tunes arranged for two violas.
One viola plays the melody, and the other plays a harmony part.
Both the viola parts for all tunes fit on the viola in first position. The melodies use the same fingering as is traditionally used when these tunes are played on a violin, but as they are played on a viola they are transposed down by a fifth.
The tunes included in the three volumes of duets are the same ones that are in Folk Viola Sheet Music Volumes 1, 2 and 3, my packs of solo and session tunes for viola.
